Neonatology

The treatment of premature infants does not end after discharge from the clinic. These special patients need our attention during their first years of life. We monitor neurological development and growth, advise on nutrition, and take the particularities of vaccinations (e.g. RSV) into account. An important aspect is the coordination of follow-up care in cooperation with cardiologists, orthopaedists, occupational therapists, ophthalmologists and the social-pediatric centre (SPZ).

At two maternity clinics in Frankfurt we occasionally carry out the first check-ups (U examinations) on a consultative basis.

For emergencies in all age groups, our entire team regularly takes part in resuscitation training.
